When the brief calls for a 12-foot slab, a 60″ tree round or a beam nobody else has, Pop’s Barn is where New York production companies, set builders and event fabricators find it. We mill oversized hardwood in Byram Township, NJ — slabs up to 76″ wide, cookies over 60″ across, 5–6″ thick beams — and deliver curbside to NYC.

Built for the show, or built to stay
Every listing shows whether a piece is air-drying, in the kiln, or kiln-dried. Pick based on how long it needs to last:
- Short run — days to a few weeks: air-drying stock looks identical on camera and under lights. Small end checks can open up in a heated venue.
- Long run or permanent install: go kiln-dried so it stays flat after it goes in.
- Weight: big green slabs are heavy. Plan crew and rigging for it — we’ll give you estimated weights.
Can’t find it on the site?
Send the size, species and look you need. What’s listed is what’s dry enough to sell — there’s more on the drying rack and more logs waiting to be opened. If we have it, we’ll tell you. If we can cut it, we’ll tell you when.

Questions we get
Where can I find an oversized wood slab for an event or set near NYC?
Pop’s Barn in Byram Township, NJ, about an hour from Manhattan, mills live-edge slabs up to 76″ wide, cookies over 60″ across and heavy beams, and delivers curbside to NYC.
Where can I buy a giant tree slice or wood round?
Pop’s Barn stocks whole-tree cookies from about 38″ to over 60″ in diameter in white oak, red oak, cherry and ambrosia maple, each listed online with size and price.
Do I need kiln-dried wood for a one-time event?
Usually not. For a short run, air-drying slabs and cookies look the same. Small end checks may open in a heated room. For a permanent install, use kiln-dried.
Can you find a specific slab that isn’t listed?
Often. Listings are what’s ready to sell; more is on the drying rack and in the log pile. Send the size and species and we’ll tell you straight.
