What we do

A working compound,
not a showroom.

Bring us a log or bring us an idea. We mill it, dry it, flatten it, and build with it — start to finish, on 12 acres in the NJ woods. We specialize in the big stuff: large-format live-edge slabs up to 76″ wide that most mills can't open. But we run the everyday work too — standard slabs, cookies, lumber. Real equipment, real work, no middlemen and no outsourcing.

01
Large-Format Slabbing

Our specialty, and the reason people drive to find us. The monsters nobody else will touch — oversized, gnarly, twisted logs loaded onto the Lucas Mill slabber and opened into live-edge slabs up to 76″ wide. That's widths most mills physically can't cut.

Custom Milling

Bring your log — we'll rip it to your spec. Slabs, beams, dimensional lumber, cookies. Norwood HD36V2 bandsaw mill for clean, consistent cuts on everything from firewood rejects to furniture-grade timber.

Kiln Drying

iDry AIR kiln in a dedicated 20' container. We dry your slabs to proper furniture moisture — no cracking, no checking, no guessing. Bring us your own green wood or buy ours already dried.

Flattening & Surfacing

Rough slab in, flat slab out. Surfacing and flattening so your piece sits true and shows its grain — ready to finish, ready to build.

05
Beyond the Slab

Slabs are just the start. We design and build finished pieces on site — live-edge tables, benches, bar tops, mantels, and custom shop work, plus Shark HD500 CNC carving and signs. One roof, one crew, start to finish — never farmed out.
