Black walnut — the one everybody asks for by name. Dark chocolate heartwood and a ribbon of pale sap on the live edge. Green mantel blank — rough-sawn 77″ × 9″ × 6″, cut oversize on purpose. Sold green and rough, straight off the saw. Ends are sealed, it’s stickered, and it has not been dried. It will move as it dries, which is why it’s cut heavy — there’s enough meat on it to mill down to final size once it’s stable. Figure about a year per inch of thickness air-drying, or we’ll put it in the kiln for you and finish it out. Priced as green stock.
