Red oak — pinkish-brown, hard, and built for tables that actually get used. 10/4 cut, 140″ long and 32–40″ wide, about 88 board feet. Long and wide — a one-piece dining top without a glue-up. Air-drying for now — reserve it and let it season, or take it green and dry it yourself. One of a kind: when it’s gone, it’s gone.
