Slippery elm, warm and reddish, with grain that won’t sit still. The big trees are nearly gone. 99″ of length, 18–23″ wide, 2″ thick — roughly 27 board feet. Air-drying since Jun 2026; figure about a year per inch, or we can kiln-finish it on request. Come see it in person — slabs always look better in the flesh.
